Bonds Approved for Pico Rivera Shopping Center

A total of $10 million in Industrial Revenue Bonds has been approved by Pico Rivera and Los Angeles County for financing part of a $20-million shopping center planned on 19 acres at Rosemead and Whittier boulevards.
Construction is expected to begin in May on the development, known as Crossroads Plaza, with completion scheduled the following December.
The Rainier Fund Inc. of Bellevue, Wash., will develop the 220,000-square-foot project, which will include a 60,000-square-foot Albertson’s Market.
