Authorities in Calaveras County said dental records enabled them to identify two of the bodies unearthed near the mountain cabin of alleged mass murderers Leonard Lake and Charles Ng as those of Kathleen Allen, 18, and Brenda O’Connor, 20, who appeared in crudely made video tapes also discovered at the cabin. Dist. Atty. John E. Martin called the identifications “a significant development,” which should make it easier to prosecute Ng, who was arrested and is now awaiting trial on other murder charges in Calgary, Canada. Lake, 39, took a suicide pill while in police custody last June.
