LONDON — A bomb hoax forced an Alitalia jumbo jet flying from Milan to New York to land at London’s Heathrow airport today, officials said.
The jet, with 47 passengers and a crew of 17, taxied to a remote part of the runway and the passengers were evacuated. Police with bomb-sniffing dogs searched the plane but found no bomb.
