Rustlers Close With Bakersfield

Golden West College will try to snap a three-game losing streak tonight when the Rustlers play host to Bakersfield in the season finale for both at 7:30 in LeBard Stadium.

The Rustlers, 3-4 in the Pac-9 Conference and 3-5-1 overall, were tied with Fullerton for the conference lead three weeks ago, but since have lost to the Hornets, Cerritos and El Camino.

Golden West enters tonight’s game tied with El Camino and Bakersfield for fifth place. The Renegades (3-4, 5-4) have lost two straight and four of five.

The Rustlers are led by running back Todd Parker, who should pass the 1,000-yard mark tonight. The sophomore from Ocean View High School has rushed for 986 yards and 4 touchdowns in 237 carries.
