Marc Frederic, the first TV producer to make kinescopes available nationwide, has died of cancer in Palm Springs. He was 69 and had spent most of his later years in Europe.
In 1948 Frederic, who died Nov. 14, packaged 104 5-minute dramatic vignettes and sold them to TV stations across the country under the title “Little Theater.” He also was a producer of “Tales of Tomorrow,” a science-fiction anthology that ran from 1951 to 1953 on ABC.
He is survived by two sons, Marc and Fred.
