High School Tennis Semifinals Rained Out

SAN DIEGO — Semifinal action in the San Diego Section girls’ individual tennis championships is scheduled to resume at 2 this afternoon at Bishop’s School after Monday’s rainout.
The finals have been moved to Wednesday, with doubles starting at 1 p.m. and singles to follow immediately.
Today, Valhalla High School’s Katrina Crawford, the No. 1 seed, is schedule to play No. 4 Julie Coakley of La Jolla.
Crawford has been considering skipping the section tournament in favor of the national indoor tournament in Kansas City, but decided to defend her singles championship.
Tina Kahan and Kim Rostovsky of La Jolla, the top-seeded doubles team, meet the No. 3 Jonelle Ayson and Charissa Cosky of Mount Carmel.
