Minhea Nastase, 18-year-old tennis playing nephew of Ilie Nastase, has been granted political asylum in the United States.
Perry Rivkind, district director of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service in Miami, said the young Romanian was approved because he had a well founded fear that “he would be persecuted if he went back.”
