Valley Women Defeat Palomar

The Valley College women’s basketball team Thursday defeated Palomar, 60-37, in the opening round of the Cypress Tournament.
Mary Jo Testa led the Monarchs with 13 points, while teammate Tina Johnson scored 11.
The win improved Valley’s preseason record to 2-3. Palomar dropped to 2-1.
