Sheraton Hotel Going Up at Redondo Beach Harbor

Construction has begun on the Sheraton at Redondo Beach, a $46-million hotel development of the Haas & Haynie Corp. in the King Harbor area at 300 N. Harbor Drive.
The five-story, 350-room hotel will contain 280,000 square feet and will include banquet and meeting facilities that can accommodate up to 900 people.
It will have a 313,000-square-foot auxiliary structure with three parking levels and street-level office-commercial leasing space.
Scheduled for completion in January, 1987, the hotel will be operated by the Sheraton Corp.
Haas & Haynie Corp., of Burlingame, Calif., is managing general partner of a joint venture in the project with Redondo Beach Triangle Associates and Glenfed Realty Investments. Glenfed Realty Investments is a wholly owned subsidiary of Glendale Federal Savings & Loan.
Designed by Killingsworth, Stricker, Lindgren, Wilson & Associates of Long Beach, the hotel is being built by Morley Construction Co. of Los Angeles with landscaping designed by Warnecke/Rosekrans of San Francisco and interiors designed by Merchant/Associates of Los Angeles.
