Unarco to Buy Harvester Plant in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY — Unarco Commercial Products of Oklahoma City will consolidate operations at three facilities when it moves into a vacant International Harvester plant south of Wagoner, Unarco officials said in announcing plans to buy the northeast Oklahoma plant.
Unarco Commercial Products officials said Tuesday the company had “signed a commitment” to purchase the vacant plant, a move that will create about 300 jobs in the northeast Oklahoma community.
Unarco president Marvin Weiss said the company, which makes shopping carts, shelving, ,material handling trucks and display baskets for the mass merchandising industry, will be hiring approximately 300 people in the Wagoner area within the next year.
