Pasadena : Board Elects New President

Joseph Sargis is the new president of the Board of Trustees of Pasadena City College. He was chosen by the seven-member board to serve for one year, during which he said he intends to focus on maintaining local control of community colleges. Sargis, who is chairman of the board of Huntington Bank in Arcadia, represents Arcadia’s Trustee Area 7. He was reelected to a second term in November. Susanna Miele, also serving a second term, is the board’s vice president.
