The University of Pittsburgh will name Mike Gottfried as its head football coach today, according to United Press International.
Gottfried, 41, most recently the head coach at Kansas, will reportedly be given a five-year contract.
Gottfried coached Kansas for three seasons with records of 4-6-1 in 1983, 5-6 in 1984 and 6-6 in 1985.
