An accused hijacker of the EgyptAir Boeing 737 that was forced to Malta last month pleaded innocent to 16 counts of murder, assault and taking hostages. Omar Rezaq, 22, a Lebanese-born Palestinian, stood unaided as the charges were read in the heavily guarded Maltese courtroom. Rezaq, seriously injured during the hijacking, is the only known survivor among the hijackers. The incident cost the lives of 60 people aboard the plane.
