Chapman Easily Beats Loyola

Leone Patterson scored a career-high 28 points and had 7 steals to lead the Chapman College women’s basketball team to a 64-44 nonconference victory over Loyola Marymount Thursday night at Chapman.
Patterson was 11 of 13 from the field and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line. She scored 14 points in the first half as the Panthers jumped out to an 11-0 lead and held the Lions scoreless for the first 5:38 of the game. Mary Gainey added 10 points for the Panthers (8-2).
Jennifer Osur, a Foothill High School graduate, paced the Lions (1-8) with 11 points and had a game-high 10 rebounds.
Southern California College 108, Mills (Oakland) 48: Southern California College (5-5) broke a school record for points scored with an easy nonconference win at Mills College.
Kim Nidey led SCC with 24 points and Lisa Tauzet added 16. Cari Kwok led Mills with 19 points.
