Businessman Dies After Being Beaten by Robber

The owner of a rental firm died Friday of severe head injuries he sustained Tuesday during a robbery at his place of business, police said Saturday.
No suspects are in custody in connection with the death of James. B. Dizney, 56, of Santa Ana, owner of A and D Rentals in Anaheim, Police Lt. Del Wade said.
Officers found Dizney unconscious about 11:25 a.m. Tuesday when they responded to a report of an injured person at the rental business at 1601 W. Crescent Ave., Wade said.
Dizney had been attacked with a blunt instrument, and the investigation revealed money had been taken from the business, Wade said.
Dizney was treated by Anaheim Fire Department paramedics and taken to Humana Hospital-West Anaheim, where he remained in critical condition until his death at 8 p.m. Friday, Wade said.
The investigation is continuing, and no further information about the slaying is available, Wade said.
