A suspected hit-and-run truck driver, who is believed to have killed a man in a 20-vehicle pileup on fog-shrouded Interstate 580 near Livermore, was being sought by the California Highway Patrol. Investigators had determined a green truck may have run over a man, as yet unidentified, as he stood by his car in the pre-dawn accident, a CHP dispatcher said. Fifteen people were injured in the chain-reaction crash.
