Proper Name for City of Angels

L.A. will always be the place for me. I find no offense in calling a great city an affectionate and convenient nickname or abbreviation.
As for the teen-agers who never heard of Los Angeles, they are just ignorant. Simply tell them that L.A. stands for the wonderful “City of the Angels,” and not Lake Arrowhead or Louisiana.
The point, Mr. Kraim, is not to worry about what our city is called because it has been called worse things by many New Yorkers. Rather, continue the obvious pride you have in Los Angeles.
