Bardsley Scores 22 to Lead SCC Past Azusa Pacific, 80-67

Ken Bardsley scored 22 points Friday night to lead Southern California College to an 80-67 NAIA District 3 win over Azusa Pacific in Costa Mesa.
The Vanguards, who trailed 44-38 at halftime, rallied to gain the win. Southern California went ahead for good with 11:35 left, 57-54, on a three-point play by center Rob Lucas. He then added two free throws, and the Vanguards (1-2 and 11-6) gradually pulled away. Lucas had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Randy McAllister added with 19 points and 7 rebounds, and teammate Robert Avilas had 10 assists. Darnell Fletcher paced Azusa Pacific (6-14, 1-2) with 26 points.
