Simi Valley, the Southern Section’s top-ranked 4-A soccer team, shut out Royal on Friday, 3-0.
Senior defensive player Paul Kleer scored the first goal of his high school career with a 25-yard shot on a corner kick by Steve MacKenzie. Ricky Acuna later scored to make the score 2-0 at halftime.
