Symbolics Earnings Soar 275% for 2nd Quarter

Symbolics, a Cambridge, Mass.-based artificial intelligence firm with manufacturing and administrative facilities in Chatsworth, said its earnings in the second quarter ended Dec. 29 increased 275% from a year earlier to $3.1 million, or 12 cents a share. Revenue jumped 75% to $27.7 million from the year-earlier period.
For the first six months of its fiscal year, Symbolics’ earnings increased more than 300% to $5.5 million, or 21 cents a share, from the year-earlier earlier. Revenue soared 73% to $51.6 million.
