A street celebration of the Montreal Canadiens’ hockey championship turned ugly when hundreds of youths went on a looting rampage in Montreal’s main nightclub district.
Police reported nine arrests and said several people required hospital treatment. They said 40 stores were looted, cars overturned and fires started.
