The American Communist Party announced plans for a nationwide daily newspaper, combining the New York City-based Daily World and Berkeley-based People’s World, a weekly. Daily World Editor Michael Zargell will be editor-in-chief of the nationwide venture, scheduled to be printed and issued simultaneously in New York, Illinois and California, beginning June 3.
