Senate Tax Revision Bill

Sen. Bob Packwood’s (R-Ore.) tax reform bill is the only tax reform we have ever seen in this country. I believe it should be passed just as it came out of the Finance Committee.
The outcry over the IRA deletion is only a result of the media’s great interest in the advertising revenue generated by IRA advertising on radio, television and in the print media.
Anyone enrolled in a company pension plan or a state or local government pension plan has no deduction from their taxes for pension contributions, so why the IRA deduction?
