Ludwig’s Death Marked

MUNICH, West Germany — Bavarians observed the 100th anniversary of King Ludwig II’s death today with memorial services and cruises on the lake where he drowned. The moody monarch, builder of fairy tale castles in Bavaria, drowned with his neurologist in Starnberger See south of Munich on June 13, 1886.
