La Habra : Police Seek Mother After Baby Is Left in Park
- Share via
Police are looking for a 22-year-old mother who allegedly abandoned her 1-month-old son Monday, handing him off to an unwilling relative in a park.
Capt. Mike Burch said the woman, identified as Emma Marie Reeves, told a relative in El Centro Park that he could have the child and left.
The relative subsequently gave the baby over to a neighbor, Geneva Mendez, who brought him to the police station Monday, Burch added.
Police took the infant, Eddie Anthony Perez, to Orangewood--the county’s foster care facility. Burch said he will remain there until his mother is found.
