Israel Student Cheating Widespread, Study Says

From Reuters

Many Israel’s high school students admit that they cheat on the exams they must pass to be accepted to universities, a study published Wednesday said.

The findings in the Maariv newspaper showed that of 2,000 students surveyed, 21% admitted copying from friends, 16% acknowledged receiving help from prompters and 6% said they saw exam questions beforehand.

The study was carried out by the National Center for Examinations and Evaluations, which supervises the tests given in the last two years of high school.
