It will also hire staff, develop a promotional and marketing program for the city and oversee operations. Five members will be appointed by the council, two will be chosen by the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the West Hollywood Community Alliance and two will be city officials.
The 15-member Advisory Committee will make recommendations to the board on policy development and the operation of the marketing program. Ten members will be appointed by the council and five will come from the Chamber of Commerce.
Applications are available from the Community Development Department and are due on July 2, according to Deborah Potter, economic development manager.
