Speedway at Talledega Sweetens Two Purses

TALLADEGA, Ala. — Alabama International Motor Speedway announced a purse of $516,550 for the Talladega 500 NASCAR Grand National stock car race July 27.
General Manager Don Naman also said the purse for an International Race of Champions on July 26 will be $143,000 and the one for the Permatex 500K that day will be more than $106,000.
“This is, by far, the most money that has ever been available to competitors during Talladega 500 race weekend,” Naman said.
