During a recent visit to Cincinnati I noticed a column in the Travel Section of the Sunday Cincinnati Enquirer which evidently prints readers’ recommendations regarding various travel facilities. Jerry Hulse’s name and address were given for contributions.
I attended a meeting of the Oncology Nursing Society and stayed at the Figueroa Hotel. In some confusion and haste to leave the hotel, I left behind a briefcase which contained not only the paper I had presented but also some lengthy written assignments that I needed to grade for my graduate students back home.
Thanks to some very efficient and empathetic intervention by the hotel manager, Uno Thimansson, I was able to leave Los Angeles with my mind completely at ease. The case was sent for “next day arrival” at their expense. This kind of service certainly deserves some public recognition.
