The Feeling of Positano
Just read Jerry Hulse’s article on Positano (Italy, June 8), and, as in the past on his descriptive, picturesque writing, I so often read certain sentences just to admire how he can juggle the English language with limited words to give the reader such a feeling of being right at the place he is writing about. The Los Angeles Times is fortunate to have his services.
The picture of Positano is well worth the space. Study it for a few minutes, and what stories it can tell, today and the years of the ancient past!
This article is one of Jerry’s best, and goes into the scrapbook for rereading.
