Stater Bros.’ president won a round in court.

All three justices of the Delaware Supreme Court voted to uphold a lower court ruling that three directors backed by Stater Bros. President Jack Brown had been elected at the annual shareholders meeting and that control of the Colton grocery store chain should be turned over to Brown. Stater Bros. Chairman Bernard Garrett, who endorsed three other directors, had appealed the Delaware Chancery Court ruling. Brown’s lawyer said Garrett probably can’t appeal further. Garrett couldn’t be reached for comment.
