‘Stop the Rocks’ Bill Weakened

I was appalled to read that Governor Deukmejian is caving in to the trucking lobby. Perhaps the governor has forgotten what the freeway is like when you are forced to follow one of these sandstorms of the road. This has frustrated me for years, and I was delighted that such a bill was being considered. Believe me, if this were put to a vote the truckers wouldn’t have a chance. Do they seriously think that anyone would believe that “rocks are more likely to fall off the bottom of trucks than fly off the top.” Whose side are you on, governor?
