23 Sworn In as 1986-87 Grand Jurors

Times Staff Writer

A retired Sherman Oaks businessman, Edward E. Roseman, was named foreman of the 1986-87 Los Angeles County Grand Jury when 23 new jurors were sworn in to serve on the watchdog panel.

The jury, drawn by lot for a one-year term concluding next June, was sworn in Tuesday by Judge James Koltz, former Superior Court presiding judge.

Grand jurors act as a review panel for county government--providing an independent evaluation of government programs and policies--and, less frequently, consider evidence in felony cases for the issuance of criminal indictments.
