BRIEFLY : Pierce Will Get Hammer-Throw Champ

John Knight, a 1985 graduate of Oak Park High, won the hammer throw Saturday at The Athletics Congress National Junior Track and Field championships in Towson, Md., with a toss of 187-8. Knight, 19, will attend Pierce this year after transferring from San Diego State.
