Two novices had their first holes-in-one recently at the Pancho Park 9-Hole. Norma Jean Lingard of Marina del Rey had her first ace in only her second game, while Rudy LaMarr of Culver City had his first ace after one month of play.
Santa Monica and Brentwood high schools each placed two players on the 1986 All-Southern California volleyball teams. In the 4-A division, Santa Monica’s Chris Forsyth, a senior, was named to the first team, and Kris Jeffery, a senior, was a third-team pick. David Pettker and Bobby Benfield, seniors from Brentwood, were named to the first team in the 3-A division.
