Paramedics and firefighters from Westminster, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana and Huntington Beach spent 45 minutes prying an Anaheim man from the wreckage of his truck after it skidded into a power pole in Fountain Valley. Joe Montez, 23, the driver who was trapped, was reported in serious but stable condition at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital with internal injuries. His passenger, Luis Alcocer, 23, of Costa Mesa, was thrown free of the wreckage. He was also reported in serious but stable condition.
