Trudeau Ends Holdout, Signs Colts’ Contract

ANDERSON, Ind. — Illinois quarterback Jack Trudeau signed a contract with the Indianapolis Colts Thursday after holding out for nearly two weeks during on-again, off-again negotiations.
No terms were announced, but Colt owner Robert Irsay had said the four-year contract under negotiation last week would have paid the equivalent of $1.1 million.
Trudeau, the club’s second-round draft choice and the 20th pick overall, had been a holdout since camp opened July 18.
Coach Rod Dowhower said Trudeau would be the No. 2 quarterback behind Gary Hogeboom, who was acquired from Dallas earlier this year. Quarterbacks Matt Kofler and Blair Kiel are also in camp.
