Northridge Signs 4 Track Athletes

Dave Walsh of Ventura College and Lolita Pile of Highland High in Sacramento head a list of four track athletes who have signed letters of intent with Cal State Northridge.
CSUN Coach Don Strametz said this week that Theresa Poy of El Cerrito High and Margaret Georgen of Antioch High in Northern California also will attend Northridge this fall.
Walsh, also of Canyon High, finished fourth in the 5,000 meters at the state junior college championships and has a personal best of 14:29.69. Pile finished sixth in the state meet in the triple jump and has a personal best of 38-7. She has a long jump best of 18-9.
Poy qualified for the state meet in the 1,600 meters and has run 5:00.94 while Georgen has thrown the discus 141-7.
