New Zealand Farms

Last fall we toured New Zealand, staying at private homes and farms arranged for us by New Zealand Travel Hosts (279 Williams St., Kaiapoi, Christchurch, New Zealand). Jerry Hulse’s Travel Tips has mentioned this company and its owner, June Hawes. We found all of their recommendations uniformly good and enjoyable.
Particularly interesting was the sheep farm of Margaret and Henry Rouse, Tutaki Valley, Murchison, on the South Island . . . beautiful views, good fishing, even a little gold panning close by. The Rouses are friendly hosts who produce excellent meals along with a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
We find the column informative and valuable. We wish you continued success.
