Oliver Hardy’s Widow Dies

Lucille Hardy Price, a studio script girl who met comedian Oliver Hardy on the set of one of the legendary Laurel and Hardy films and married him in 1939, died of cancer this morning at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank. She was 77.
Mrs. Price, who was at the rotund comedian’s side when he died on Aug. 7, 1957, had remarried, to businessman Ben Price, who died last February. She will be cremated and her ashes interred near Hardy’s at Valhalla Memorial Park, North Hollywood.
