Stevenson Scores Twice to Lead La Quinta

Allen Stevenson rushed for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns to help La Quinta High School to a 35-14 Garden Grove League victory over Garden Grove Saturday night at Bolsa Grande High School.
Stevenson scored on a 30-yard run in the first quarter and a 50-yard run in the second. Quarterback Derek Debbs completed 8 of 20 passes for 131 yards and 1 touchdown. He also scored on a six-yard run.
La Quinta (4-0, 6-3) has clinched a playoff spot, but will play Bolsa Grande, which is also undefeated in league, next week for the league championship. Garden Grove is 2-2 in league, 2-7 overall.
