Survey Shows Homes Sales Up 47.3% in Conejo Valley
- Share via
The Conejo Valley Board of Realtors said its members sold 333 houses and condominiums in October, up 47.3% from a year earlier and up 9.9% from September.
The board’s survey found that the average sales price of those homes was $193,527, up 12.8% from the $171,628 average a year earlier but down 3.1% from September’s level of $199,703.
Board officials attributed the sales increase partly to lower interest rates and next year’s changes in federal tax laws, which will keep intact deductions for home-mortgage interest payments while eliminating other deductions. The board’s survey, which does not include sales of newly built homes, covers the communities of Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Thousands Oaks, Newbury Park and Sunset Hills.
