Three members of Cleveland-based Teamsters Local 507 filed suit in U.S. District Court, demanding $4 million and resignations from local Secretary-Treasurer Jackie Presser and local President Harold Friedman. Presser and Friedman have been indicted in connection with a “ghost payroll” padding scheme that drained the local of more than $500,000. Presser is also president of the international union. The suit by Harry Brown, Ronald Caldwell and M. D. Leatherman demands that Presser pay $2 million in damages and $1 million in his salary and that Friedman pay $1 million in damages and salary.
