A 60-year-old aerospace industry salesman from Malibu pleaded guilty in Los Angeles Federal Court to charges of mail fraud and of paying a kickback on a government defense contract. Assistant U.S. Atty. Carol A. Chase said that while working for Schroeder Tool & Die Corp. of Van Nuys the salesman, Jerry Rousek, authorized payment of a large commission to a sales representative knowing that a portion of the money was to be paid as a kickback to a buyer for Datron Systems Inc. Rousek faces up to seven years in prison and an $11,000 fine.
