Man, 54, Dies as Car Slams Into Palm Tree

A 54-year-old Rancho Penasquitos man was killed Sunday when his car and slammed into a palm tree.
Eduardo San Pedro was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident which took place shortly after 3 a.m. in the 15000 block of Penasquitos Drive, according to Deputy Coroner Everett Mauger.
San Pedro was headed north when his car crossed the center of the road, jumped the curb and hit the palm tree, police said.
