Missouri’s Sen. Bond Recovering From Surgery

KANSAS CITY — Sen. Christopher S. Bond (R-Mo.) was released from the hospital Sunday, six days after he had surgery to correct an irritated nerve in his neck.
Bond underwent an anterior cervical fusion, in which bone spurs were removed from his neck and two vertebrae were grafted together. Doctors at St. Luke’s Hospital said the problem was caused by an old athletic injury.
