Broncos Polish Their Punch and Pizazz

With a new coach this year, the women’s gymnastics team at Cal Poly Pomona is building its arsenal for a shot at the nationals in the near future. Ray Johnson, who lettered in gymnastics himself at Pomona High School and Mt. San Antonio College, has two seniors----Nancy Springer from South Hills High, and Marianne Ness from El Monte High----and promosing under-classmen such as Michele Stafford, a sophomore from Arroyo High, and Jennifer Burnett, a freshman from Carlsbad. Burnett scored higher than any of her teammates in the last meet, although Signer is the best all-around perforner this season.
