Commerce : Councilmen Vote Pay Raise
The Commerce City Council has tentatively approved an ordinance to raise council members’ pay from $352 a month to $422. The second and final reading of the ordinance is scheduled Feb. 17.
The pay raise will not take effect, however, until at least one council member begins a new term of office a week after the municipal election on April 12, 1988, City Clerk Linda Finckbone said. Council members last received a raise in 1984, Finckbone said.
