Orange County Community College Roundup : Golden West Women Defeat El Camino

Golden West College defeated El Camino, 99-50, Wednesday in a South Coast Conference women’s basketball game at Golden West.

The Rustlers, ranked first in the South Coast Conference and second in California, led, 16-0, after four minutes. April Marion scored 26 points and Jeannine Battaglia had 24 to lead Golden West (9-0, 26-1).

Ronna Rosemand scored 13 points to lead the Warriors (0-9, 7-22.)

In men’s South Coast Conference games:

Long Beach City 72, Fullerton 69--Henry Johnson scored 21 points and Demetrious Camper added 19 to lead Long Beach City at Fullerton.

The Vikings are 5-4, 13-12. Fullerton is 4-5, 16-10. Bart Hakeman scored 17 points for the Hornets and Troy Joseph added 15 points and 10 rebounds.

El Camino 90, Golden West 54--The Rustlers lost for the eighth consecutive time in conference at El Camino. Arlandis Rush and Eric Dunn led the second-place Warriors (7-2, 19-5) with 15 points each. Charles White had 14 and Kevin Mixon 13.

Pat Beck scored 15 for Golden West (0-8, 4-17).
