Carman Productions to Be Acquired by N.Y. Firm

Carman Productions, a privately held sound studio and record production company in Van Nuys, said it has signed a letter of intent to be acquired by publicly held Quogue Ventures Inc. in exchange for stock.

The deal lets Carman go public while its owners, Tom Skeeter and Joe Gottfried, retain control. Skeeter said that, after the merger, the two men will be the principal shareholders of Quogue, an investment company based on Long Island, N.Y.
